The Most Common Cosmetic Treatment
Neuromodulators, like Botox, Dysport and Xeomin, are the most common cosmetic treatment in the United States, and it’s popularity is due to its effectiveness as an anti-wrinkle agent. Neuromodulators work by blocking the source of the wrinkles—the thin muscle fibers underneath the skin. By selectively blocking these underlying muscles, the overlying wrinkles begin to smooth out.
Our neuromodulator treatments are performed in the office, takes about 30 minutes, and require minimal down time. It is administered as a series of injections. Results appear around a week and last three to four months. As time passes, the activity of the muscle returns to normal. Patients who are pregnant or breast feeding should not use neuromodulators, and it is important for you to inform our center of any medications you are taking.
