The FAQs on Lip Fillers
Let’s talk LIPS! As with all things that we are passionate about, we speak and even preach about our skin and the care needed to nurture and protect it as well as ways to “revive” it. Lest we forget that our lips are a unique part of our skin and they deserve care and attention as well.
But what if your lips are not living up to your expectations? What if you desire fuller, more plump lips, or currently have a little asymmetry that you can’t stop looking at. Maybe, over the years, the natural aging process has contributed to volume loss causing fine lines and wrinkles around your mouth. With Hyaluronic Acid dermal fillers, we are able to offer predictable correction, volumization, and hydration for these common lip complaints.
Lip augmentation is one of the most sought-after cosmetic procedures today. These temporary fillers have been medically formulated to offer quick, natural looking results with little down time.
Here are the answers to some of the most common questions we receive:
- How long do lip fillers last? Lip fillers are not permanent and dissolve naturally over time. Depending on which filler you choose, results can last anywhere from six months up to one year.
- Is lip augmentation painful? Knowing that the lips are one of the most sensitive parts on the body, we do our best to reduce any pain or discomfort you may feel during the procedure. Numbing cream is applied prior to the procedure and vibratory sensation tools are utilized throughout the process in order to minimize discomfort.
- What does recovery look like? Recovery varies from person to person, however, minimal down time is expected. Mild to moderate swelling and bruising may occur, as well as mild tenderness. Most clients return to their normal daily activities after 24-48 hours.
- Will the results look natural? We aim to deliver results that are both subtle and beautiful. During your consultation, a treatment plan will be devised with the type and amount of dermal filler that best suits your individual enhancement goals with focus on your facial proportions to optimize outcomes.
